In such challenging times for us all, when those working to support the vulnerable and improve or save lives are likely facing fresh uncertainty over funding, we are pleased to confirm our charity partners for 2020, Willow and Pancreatic Cancer Action.
Willow is dedicated to bringing special days to seriously ill and young adults aged between 16 and 40.
Pancreatic Cancer Action is dedicated to improving survival rates of pancreatic cancer by ensuring more people are diagnosed early and improving the quality of life for patients.
Steve Thornett, Managing Director of Specialty at Pen Underwriting and Chair of Pen’s Charity Committee said, "We're delighted to support both Willow and Pancreatic Cancer Action as our chosen charities for 2020. I’m really excited to see how we can collaborate with such amazing people and see what fun and creative ways we can come up with to raise plenty of funds over the coming year."
Jonathan Aves, Willow Chief Executive said, "As a business, Pen is dedicated to going the extra mile, meeting ordinary needs in extraordinary ways. At Willow we are similarly committed to creating bespoke, individual Special Days for seriously ill young adults, helping create precious memories in the toughest times. We're delighted to be working with Pen on this partnership, and we're excited to see how we can collaborate to create many more Special Days together over the coming year."
Annie Whillians, Fundraising Executive at Pancreatic Cancer Action said, “We are delighted to have the support of Pen Underwriting for a 2nd year, the team are incredibly engaged and dynamic, similarly to the team at PCA. Therefore we really feel with their valued support, we can make a difference and change the future of pancreatic cancer, together! Having Pen on board allows us to continue our vital work and aim for a day where more people survive pancreatic cancer thanks to early diagnosis.”
